Biggest Object Ever Moved

Larger than all cargo aircraft, higher than almost all TV tower, this ride takes team titanic ships to drag him to another location. Imagine splashes of water if this thing collapses!

Weighing while being dragged is of 1.2 million tons, 472 meters high, with a structure under the water as high as 369 meters, and weight: 656,000 tons ... Not many people realize how really high this thing. Here is the comparison with the Eiffel tower.
Compare also higher than some other oil platforms by building-the tallest building in the world ("Troll A" is not in the picture, but the high reached 472 meters):
That is not a bridge, but the iceberg when removed!

Oil giants inhaler
Troll A is not the only one (more on here ). There are some monsters again in the North Sea oil fields - yup, this is the "B" and "C".
This one Troll A:

Goldeneye gas vehicle in the northern North Sea, England, looked small compared with the tall Troll A is 500 meters (right):
Which is viewed from in his column:
Effort to move the vehicle is only comparable to him (construction Troll A man once considered the greatest engineering achievement until the late 20th century). The greatness of construction is clearly visible in these images: that the ships are large ships, not boats!
How to Troll A assembled and moved very unusual. Usually the legs of the bridge was taken at his side and then - assisted floating equipment - dropped on their location (drowned in the waters). This one, all assembled in one location, and then diapungkan!
Below is a picture that shows how great these platforms - see the interior of the rig "Statoil" more than 1.5 kilometers west of Sleiper West in the North Sea:

This one platform "Nortrym" at Statfjord - the original not just one. See bottom right for the location of these units:

Facing Oil rig Ocean Waves
Giant oil rigs are often dealing directly with the ocean and sometimes ferociously experiencing serious keruskan therefore, especially those tied to one place and not easily moved if the storm approached.
Oil platforms "Borgila" and "Nortrym" a few of the many affected by the hurricanes and the possibility of fires and oil leaks:

Disasters due to oil spills in recent efforts to make people rethink the safety of the bridge.

Oil platforms "Gullfaks C" to withstand the ferocity of nature, the North Sea storm (with high waves to reach 7 meters).

A wave model is made to test the oil rig (more on here and fierce waves of the video here ):
Finally - here's a picture that shows "Troll A" being hit by a storm.
